Hello, I'm Nosheen Ijaz

Nosheen Ijaz, Counsellor and Psychotherapist
BACP — British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

A little about me

Warm, collaborative, and led by you

I provide a warm, welcoming and supportive space where you can talk openly, make sense of what you're experiencing, and explore life's challenges at your own pace without judgement. My main approach is Person-Centred Therapy, drawing on CBT, expressive therapy and grounding techniques where they help.

I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety and panic attacks, depression, bereavement and child bereavement, trauma, life transitions, cultural identity and belonging, neurodiversity, and general emotional wellbeing. I also work with clients on probation.

Why Work With Me

What you can expect

Whatever brings you to therapy, these things stay true in every session.

A genuinely warm welcome

From your very first message, you will be met with warmth, patience and complete acceptance. There is no judgement here only a safe, caring space where you can be exactly as you are.

Confidential and ethical

Everything you share stays confidential. I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, hold professional indemnity insurance, and attend regular clinical supervision to keep your care safe and ethical.

Therapy at your pace

There is never any pressure to share more than you feel ready to. We move gently, following your lead, so that every session feels manageable, steady and supportive.

An approach shaped around you

You are unique, so your therapy should be too. I blend person-centred care with CBT and expressive techniques, thoughtfully tailored to reflect your individual needs and goals.

My Journey

A path shaped by care

I was always naturally drawn to listening and offering support. I completed a master's in applied psychology in Pakistan, then gained experience within psychiatry departments in military and government hospitals, supported an anti-drug project, and worked as an Acting Lecturer in the Computer Science Department at Government College University Faisalabad. I've now lived in the UK for 14 years.

I can see myself more clearly now. When I understand myself better, I can manage my life better.
